PERSONAL VAULT BY WINNER INTERNATIONAL SECURITY ALERT

SECURITY ALERT: WINNER INTERNATIONAL PERSONAL VAULT LB400

https://store.winner-intl.com/the-club-personal-vault-xl-p295.aspx

This is the first of five reports on what I believe are insecure and poorly designed security products sold by Winner International in Sharon, Pennsylvania, and through Amazon and other vendors. In our testing, the Personal Vault does not provide any significant protection against theft or removal.

These are perfect examples of Insecurity Engineering, which was the topic of my last book in 2024, published by Wiley.

THE WINNER PERSONAL VAULT

This is a small metal box with a low-security lock and a cable for attaching it to a solid surface to prevent theft. Watch the full video below.

Our security lab has produced a video on the Personal Vault and four separate videos on how to open the original Club, as well as their new and improved, more expensive LX series. Any class action law firm that wants to see the videos, feel free to contact me.

Watch the endorsements by etrailer.com. They do not know what they are talking about and are misleading their readers about the security of this product! They were notified but failed to respond.

The bottom line: people are paying $50 for about 15 seconds of protection. If I were a customer, I would ask for my money back from Winner or anybody that sells these products. And they are not the only ones selling similar devices with similar security vulnerabilities. If you are a consumer who purchased this product believing it would stop a thief from stealing the box or its contents, then I would demand a refund. The insecurity engineering in this Vault is precisely what I described in my latest book.
