Marc Weber Tobias is an investigative attorney and Principal of Investigative Law Offices and Security Laboratories. He represents and consults with lock manufacturers, government agencies, corporations, and other law offices in the United States and overseas regarding the design and bypass of locks and safes, alarms, and related hardware and software, and liability issues. He has testified as an expert witness in defective product litigation, criminal investigations, and Intellectual Property lawsuits.
He has authored seven textbooks, including Locks, Safes, and Security: An International Police Reference; Open in Thirty Seconds, LSS+ Multimedia Edition of Locks, Safes, and Security, and other books about police communications, and criminal law and procedure for law enforcement agencies. He also wrote the Physical Security chapter in Techno Security’s Guide to Securing SCADA. Locks, Safes, and Security is a 1400 page primary reference two-volume work that is utilized by locksmiths, security experts, lawyers, and law enforcement agencies.
Marc is a member of several professional security organizations, including FBI InfraGard, American Society for Industrial Security, Association of Firearms and Tool Marks Examiners, Association of Locksmith of America, Safe and Vault technicians Association, American Polygraph Association, American Association of Police Polygraphers, American Bar Association and other legal professional groups.

Marc has lectured at many universities, cyber-security, and law enforcement, and other venues in the United States, Canada, Europe, Middle East, and Asia regarding security and product design issues, and liability concerns.

Tobias Alberto Bluzmanis was born in Caracas, Venezuela and came to the United States in 1995. He has been a professional locksmith since then and joined and help found Security Laboratories in 2007. He is an expert in covert methods of entry and worked for a large Medeco dealer in Miami. He is co-author of Open in Thirty Seconds with Marc Tobias.
